Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what information Annapoorna Home Kitchen ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website, app, or place an order with us, and how we use it. We only collect what we need to take, prepare, and deliver your order — nothing is sold to third parties.
What we collect
- Account details: name, phone number, and email address when you sign in.
- Delivery details: your delivery address, and its approximate location, so we can calculate delivery fees and route your order to a rider.
- Order details: what you ordered, when, and any special instructions you add.
- Payment information: we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details ourselves. Online payments are processed directly by Razorpay, our payment partner, under their own security standards. We only keep a payment reference and status.
- Communications: if you contact support or leave a review, we keep a record of that conversation to help resolve it.
- Basic technical information: things like error logs, needed to keep the app working reliably.
How we use it
- To take, prepare, and deliver your order, including sharing your delivery address and phone number with the rider assigned to your order.
- To send order updates (status changes, delivery OTP, payment confirmations) via the app and, where you've provided one, your phone or email.
- To respond to support requests and resolve issues with an order.
- To improve the app and investigate technical problems when something goes wrong.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Razorpay — to process online payments securely.
- Our delivery riders — your delivery address and phone number, only for orders assigned to them.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Your delivery OTP
A 4-digit code is shown on your order page to confirm hand-off at your door. Please share it only with your delivery rider, and only once you actually have your food — this protects you from someone else claiming your order.
Data retention
We keep your account and order history for as long as your account stays active, so you can view past orders and re-order easily. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable time — except for order and payment records that Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep regardless of account deletion (currently up to 8 years, under the Income Tax Act and GST record-keeping rules). Support conversations and error logs are kept for up to 2 years to help us investigate recurring issues, then deleted.
Your choices
- You can update your name, phone, and email anytime from your profile.
- You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us.
- You can nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity, by writing to us with their details.
Cookies
We use one cookie, purely functional: it remembers whether the admin sidebar menu is expanded or collapsed on your screen. It doesn't identify you, track your activity, or get shared with anyone. We don't use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies of any kind.
Children's privacy
Our service is intended for adults placing food orders. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

Data stored outside India
Some of our service providers — our cloud hosting and payment processing partners — may store or process data outside India as part of providing their services to us. Where this happens, it remains subject to their own security standards and our agreements with them.
This page is a plain-language description of our actual data practices, written to be accurate and easy to understand — it is not a substitute for legal advice. If you have specific compliance requirements (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), we'd recommend having a lawyer review this before relying on it in a dispute.
